Dear Students of LL.M. IV Semester,

1)   Conduct survey of literature pertaining to the topic allotted to you.  Look for the relevant literature in Text Books, Commentaries, Reports, Judgments, Scholarly journals, University journals like Harvard Law Review, Yale Law Journal etc  available in your library, the main library of OU, available on internet etc
2)      Prepare a brief synopsis of your proposed study containing the following sub heads: Statement of the Problem, Rationale of the Study, Scope of the Study, Objectives of the Study, Hypothesis, Methodology Followed, Review of Literature; and the Scheme of the Study ( Chapterization) along with a Select Bibliography ( consisting of Books, Articles, Reports, Websites and Statutes etc). This synopsis will be the blueprint for your thesis. It can be converted into your Introduction chapter eventually. Prepare this synopsis in consultation with the Guide allotted to you.
3)      Your Thesis should ideally contain Six to Eight Chapters each containing about 20-25 pages.
4)      Follow the research methodology while writing your chapters. Use standard mode of citations .Give either foot-notes or end-notes.[ Follow the Harvard Blue Book available  on the web for guidance]
5)      Type/print on one side of A-4 paper by giving 1 ½  space, in Times New Roman font (12) ,by leaving sufficient margins on top, bottom, left and right sides.
6)      Be in regular touch with your guide (at least once in a week).; and
